Noise cancellation systems in cars rely on a diverse set of hardware, software and sensors and in this case, the performance and unique user benefits are delivered by a set of Silentium algorithms and software that leverage a Meridian sound system. What sets apart this generation of ARNC technology is our intelligent and unique set of algorithms developed to create the Silentium Quiet Bubble™ (QB™), large and independent zones of low noise around each vehicle occupant.
Our partners at Jaguar and Land Rover challenged us to very high-performance targets to provide their customers with the best driving experience with comfort and safety. They wanted to look outside of the known, traditional solutions for a technology capable of pushing the envelope of performance. To achieve that Silentium engineers worked in conjunction with other partners in the vehicle technology ecosystem to tune and optimize cabin noise and sound.
This marks a major milestone in Silentium’s collaboration with Jaguar and Land Rover to bring to their customers worldwide the benefits of the first, global mass production ARNC on a variety of models including, for the first time, on an Plug – in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).
